What is emotional neglect?
Emotional neglect can happen when a child’s emotional needs are repeatedly missed, dismissed, minimised, ignored, or left unsupported.
This may happen in families where there is obvious difficulty, such as conflict, addiction, illness, grief, trauma, overwhelm, or instability.
But it can also happen in families that look quite functional from the outside.


Why do I keep striving in relationships and still feel empty?
Thriving might just be somewhere over the rainbow or over that next hurdle but I was tired of searching, tired of trying.


Why is self-love so hard?
For some people, self-love sounds simple. For others, it can feel almost impossible to understand.
Especially if love was not something you learned through steady warmth, protection, delight, or emotional care.
If love felt uncertain, conditional, absent, critical, or difficult to reach, you may have learned something else.


Why do I procrastinate when I need to be seen?
If being seen has ever felt exposing, unsafe, humiliating, or overwhelming, procrastination can become a form of protection.
Not laziness.
Protection.


Can we really heal ourselves?
Can we really heal ourselves? A healing environment is not only about clean food, fresh air, movement, or rest, though these may be important.
It is also about the emotional and relational atmosphere we live in.
